Cover extra clerical assignments, vacancies and / or vacation vacancies that accrue in the Chief Train Dispatcher’s Offices (CETC).  Performs the duties of the assignment covered and / or other duties as assigned by supervisor, which are as follows:   Assigns Bridge Tenders / Clerks from extra boards, etc.  Handles data entry of assigned passenger train equipment including related train consist and delay files.  Copy and distribute Division Notices and Bulletin Orders.  Other clerical duties as assigned by the Assistant Chief Train Dispatcher or the Manager of Operations.  Must be conversant with computer terminal equipment and PC for data entry/retrieval function.  Should be familiar with and have some experience with typing.  This position is responsible to produce a morning report including the daily performance of all trains (Amtrak and Commuter Rail) operating on the subdivision with their corresponding percentages.  Must have the following office skills:  faxing, scanning, Microsoft Word and Excel, and data entry retrieval function experience.   Must be able to work flexible hours when required to work in the Chief Train Dispatcher’s Office.  Hours of 1st shift 7a-3p, 2nd shift 3p-11p, 3rd shift 11p-7a including weekends (may be required to work some holidays)

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
