This position will support Engineering Structures Team by performing tasks as directed by department structural engineering professionals.  The intern will have the opportunity to assist in field inspection of bridges and structures. 


This internship is intended to begin in May 2020. 



• Search for, and file, drawings and documents in department document library.

• Perform minor design and drafting.

• Edit, revise and publish written construction project specifications manual.

• Revise and publish scopes of work.

• Manage department master specifications library.

• Assist in document reproduction.

• Perform calculations for review and approval by professional.

• Assist with correspondence.



  • Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution.
  • Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering(Structures or Construction Management Emphasis)
  • Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or sophomore status 
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher 



  • At least 3 years of academic undergraduate studies completed or a senior status.
  • Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, M-F between 7/8am - 4/5pm.


Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
