Summary of Duties:
Supervise repairs of track defects, installation of rail ties, & inspection of switches.  

 

Essential Functions:
•    Instruct gangs on daily tasks, conducts job briefings.  
•    Supervise loading and unloading of materials.  
•    Reports pertinent data, both verbal and written, regarding employees and work progress/problems to immediate supervisor.  
•    Leads employees within guidelines of System Safety Program.  
•    Observes, corrects, and trains employees in all safety requirements & work operations. 
•    Maintains and is accountable for Maximo time approvals and various reports.

 

Headquarters:     Coach Yard, Washington, DC

 

Territory:             Zone 1A (134.9 – 137.1)   

 

Work Experience:
•    AMT-2
•    High Speed TRK M/W 1000 (Class 6 & Above)
•    NORAC
•    RWP
•    Must have physical characteristics as required

 

Other Requirements:
•    High School Diploma or equivalent.
•    Must have valid driver’s license. 
•    Must speak, read, and write English language.


Communication and Interpersonal skills:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills


Tour of Duty:         9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Rest Days:             Sat/Sun/Mon
