The IT Communications Specialist will work closely with the IT Communications Manager to deliver products to support the IT and CIO communications function. The Specialist position assists in the development, coordination and execution of a comprehensive communication strategy that is aligned with and complements IT strategy.  The position assists with the maintenance of the IT website design, operation, and communication strategy.  Produces high-quality IT communications and documentation that meets company standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.  Supports a high volume of projects and priorities, in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders.  Works with cross-functional teams to continuously improve change management process while supporting the documentation and communication needs of the IT organization.


  • Assist with the development of content for the IT network digital monitors. Collaborate with service owners, project/program owners, Corporate Communications and other key individuals to identify their content needs and develop the requisite digital signage. Create engaging slides to broadcast IT news, events, programs, etc. on the digital monitors shown across the organization. Ensure monitors across the enterprise are updated daily and weekly, as needed.
  • Assists with the IT intranet site content. This would include identifying new content needs; research content and accompanying images; draft content and imagery.  Based on approval, post content and imagery. Collaborate across the enterprise to identify key IT stakeholders’ website content needs and draft their messaging. Ensure outdated information is removed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in developing effective communication messages to be shared across a variety of vehicles, e.g. emails, intranet, all hands, offsites, digital signage, etc., for differing audiences.  
  • Support the senior director and manager by playing an integral role planning for strategic meetings, town halls, all hands, etc.
  • Administer surveys for various internal clients via SurveyMonkey. 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English or a related field required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, and collaborative, but able to work with little supervision and multitask successfully. 
  • Must be able to exercise confidentiality around sensitive information.

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products. 
  • Experience creating engaging, eye-catching PowerPoint slides. 
  • Experience planning meetings. 

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
