SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Sr. Technologist will provide Technical leadership of the technical SAP security tasks that occur on a Daily Basis. He/she will work hand in hand with the COE support vendor in providing timely and accurate support services to our user community within the allocated SLA’s. He/she will work with our Service Desk to improve Standard Operating Procedures that the Service Desk uses when working with the end user community. This resource will also be taking over for the responsible part to conduct the SAP Quarterly User Audits which currently the Sr. Manager SAP Technical Operations does.  This resource will also act a trusted advisor to the Service Owner organization who supports the SAP security perspective on Capital Projects and Financial Audits


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identifies emerging trends in SAP Security space
  • Direct COE Vendor in day to day SAP Security requests  
  • Assist Service Owner organization on Annual Financial Audits
  • Lead for Quarterly User Access Review activities for COE SAP echo-system 
  • Serves as a consultant, trusted advisor and, as necessary, escalation point (Tier 2) for issues.  
  • Provides technical analyses where needed 
  • Designs innovative solutions using new technologies.  
  • Recommends short-term alternatives when appropriate.  
  • Reviews proposed designs at key milestones and approves additional efforts.
  • Works with Information Security to implement relevant Security application patches on a monthly cadence
  • Provides technical expertise across business functions.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve business processes via new technologies.
  • Evaluates, tests, recommends, and implements operational solutions for SAP.
  • Provide quality KnowledgeBase articles for Service Desk on relevant processes
  • Complies with all standard internal controls and processes. 
  • Delivers results in support of achieving the organization’s Service Level Agreements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/MIS or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires 5+ years of experience in supporting Daily SAP Security requests and 2 specifically in a Leadership role on the Security 
  • Must have broad knowledge of SAP Infrastructure
  • Proficient in troubleshooting various degrees of SAP Security technical issues
  • Experience configuring and Administering SAP GRC
  • Direct Experience in working with external auditors in at least 1 Financial and/or Compliance Audit 
  • Must work well with others in an integrated team environment, and must be self-motivated. Experience working in real time 7x24 IT operations environments. 
  • 5 plus years of experience in supporting Daily SAP Security requests and 2 specifically in a Leadership role on the Security team. Direct Experience in working with external auditors in at least 1 Financial and/or Compliance Audit. Experience configuring and Administering SAP GRC.  Proficient in troubleshooting various degrees of SAP Security technical issues.  Must have broad knowledge of SAP Infrastructure
  • Experience working in real time 7x24 IT operations environments. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, work well with others in an integrated team environment, and must be self-motivated


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SAP Security Certification
  • Working understanding of Kerboros and active Directory
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow as an Incident Management and Change Management platform 
  • Proficient in creating Documentation for fellow Security team members
  • ITIL, or equivalent Certification 
  • SAP Security Certification
  • Working understanding of Kerboros and active Directory 
  • Experiencing working with ServiceNow

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
