SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Treasury Manager is responsible for financial modeling, internal and external compliance and reporting for Amtrak’s debt programs. The position will work closely with all members of the Treasury group, coordinating directly with the Director of Corporate Finance, Assistant Treasurer, and the Senior Manager, Payment Cards. The role will enhance financial modeling and projections, contribute to timely and reliable forecasting, timely payments of debt and lease obligations, timely submission of compliance reporting, strong internal controls, support effective credit card management for collection of passenger revenues, and coordination with colleagues in FP&A roles.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Financial modeling related to various debt and lease programs, rating agency projections of debt and debt service, and financial ratios.;
  • Managing compliance with debt obligations, payments, financial reporting requirements as well as a working knowledge of all covenant requirements
  • Providing support to manage, restructure, and repay Amtrak’s portfolio of capital leases and other debt.  
  • Assist in preparing presentations for senior management and rating agencies
  • Support management of payment card acceptance.
  • Provide back-up to cash management team for daily reporting, cash positioning, forecasting, investments, and payments.  


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Math or related fields
  • At least 8 years of hands on experience in treasury operations, financial modeling, debt compliance, and/or payment card acceptance or a combination of work experience and relevant post-graduate education.
  • Demonstrated success in leadership and project management. 
  • Strong background in corporate finance, treasury operations and debt compliance
  • High ethical standards
  • Working knowledge of treasury management system software
  • Working knowledge of payment cards and credit card administration 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills  
  • Mastery of PC applications (Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CFA, MBA, or Master’s degree in Finance 


COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
