What interested you in Amtrak?

I love traveling by train and I wanted to be a part of the future of intercity rail transportation.

What attracted you to the management trainee program?

I was attracted to the idea of being able to experience many different facets of the company, so that I could find a department that would be a great fit for my passion and experience.

What are some of the highlights of being a manager trainee?

The biggest highlight for me was getting the opportunity to work alongside frontline employees at the largest stations in the system. It truly gives you a huge amount of respect for what they do every day to keep America moving. Another highlight was being able to see a lot of the behind-the-scenes aspects of what it takes to run America’s railroad. I was completely immersed in the various departments I visited and it helped to make me a more well-rounded manager.
